Hello Friends. Today we talk about the Difference Between DDR3 and DDR4 RAM. RAM is Random Access Memory and DDR RAM
origins from RAM. RAM is a primary memory of our machine. When we work on
computers or Smartphones, We open some software or application then it loads in
RAM. We can say that RAM is a primary memory where we load our current
application and software that we are using. RAM is a part of the CPU (Central
Processing Unit). RAM keeps Data and instructions stored in Cells. Every, Cell
is made up with some Rows and Columns which have their own unique address. We
call this unique address Cell Paths. The CPU can access these data randomly.
RAM is a temporary memory that’s why data doesn't remain in it forever. Data
Store remains as long as the power supply in the RAM remains. Data is
automatically deleted after powered off. Before we talk about Difference Between DDR3 and DDR4 RAM, Let's talk about What is DDR3 and DDR4 RAM.

What is DDR3 RAM
DDR3 RAM is an upgraded version of DDR2. We used
SDRAM a long time ago. SDRAM had a slow speed and also had clock fetching
problems. That’s why DDR RAM was introduced. And then one by one it's upgraded
version came up (DDR2, DDR3, DDR4). 4* Clock multipliers has been used in DDR3
RAM which is to give you 4* speed as compared to DDR RAM.
What is DDR4 RAM
DDR4 is an upgraded version of DDR3. It has a 2*
speed as compared to DDR3 RAM. DDR4 RAM also runs on low voltage, and it also
runs at high clock speed.

Difference Between DDR3 and DDR4 RAM
#1 DDR4 RAM takes 1.2 Volts electricity but DDR3
takes 1.5 Volts.
#2 DDR4 RAM has 2* speed as compared to DDR3 RAM.
#3 DDR3 maximum memory size is 16 GB but DDR4 RAM
has no limit or capability.
#4 DDR3 RAM has a 240-pin interface but DDR4 has a
288-pin interface.
#5 DDR3 RAM gives you clock speed between 800 and
2133 MT/s(Mega Transfer per second). And DDR4 RAM clock speed starts from 24000
MT/s.
#6 DDR3 comes from 512 MB to 24 GB. But DDR4 RAM
comes from 2 GB to 128 GB.
#7 DDR3 RAM was introduced in 2007 but DDR4 RAM was released in 2014.
