would know about Recent files featured in the Quick Access folder. This feature
is for quick access to your recent files that you opened recently. It's easy to
use but there are many times people want to Clear Recent Files in Windows 10 or want to
disable recent files feature. You can do this in a few simple steps.
If you really don’t like to keep recent files
history in the Quick Access folder, you can clear it easily or if you want you
can also disable this feature then Windows Explorer will never keep your recent
file history in Quick Access folder. Many people know how to clear and disable
Recent files in Quick Access but many not. So today I’m going to share with you
how you can clear recent files or disable recent files in the Quick Access
folder.
How to Clear and Disable Recent File in Quick
Access
Step1. Click on File in File Explorer. And then
select the Change Folder and Search Option.

Step2. A small Window will be opened named
Folder Options. Click on the Clear button to clear immediately your Recent
Files history. After this, Click on Ok and your recent files will be deleted
without any confirmation message.
Step3. If you want to disable this feature
permanently then you will see two options beside the Clear button named Show
Recent Files in Quick Access and Show frequently used folders in Quick access.
Untick both options and click ok. Now your recent files history permanently
deleted.
that's how you can Clear Recent Files in Windows 10. If you want to enable this feature again then check both options and click ok.
